32 | LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with the licensee and Nancy and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep, as an additional resource. LPA also informed both of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at: https://www.cpsc.gov/, and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. The licensee and Nancy physically check on sleeping infants every 15 minutes and documents. An Individual Infant Sleeping Plan [LIC 9227 (3/20)] will be maintained for each infant up to 12 months of age and shall be available to the Department for review. Both understands infants up to 12 months of age must be placed on their backs for sleeping.
LPA discussed the following: Reporting Covid positive, suspected child abuse & neglect, maintaining children’s records according to regulation, and post required forms. The licensee was reminded corporal punishment, smoking, exersaucers, bouncy seats, walkers, jumpers, and/or similar equipment are not allowed in daycare. During the exit interview, the Licensee, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. LPA provided the California Megan's Law website: www.meganslaw.ca.gov.

An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the licensee Reyna and Nancy Rodriguez. Nancy has more than one year of daycare experience. Nancy Rodriguez meets the licensee requirements, and will be added as the co-licensee. LPA discussed the Regulation 102417(a)Operation of a Family Child Care with the licensee and Nancy. The licensee was provided with a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058 03/22) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. No deficiencies were cited. |
