25 | On July 22, 2026 at 10:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hector Canton conducted an unannounced annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee, Linda Lima. LPA toured the one-story home to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Present during the inspection were the Licensee and one day care child. The facility was operating within ratio and capacity.
LPA observed that the licensee uses the following rooms for child care: living room, kitchen, bedroom 1, bedroom 2, and bathroom 2. The following rooms/areas were made off limits using door knob covers and child gates: bedroom 3 and bathroom 2. LPA observed that the off-limit areas were secured at the time of inspection.
LPA toured the outdoor area and found it to be fully fenced with no immediate hazards. There are no bodies of water on the property. The licensee stated that there are no weapons stored in the home. Cleaning compounds, medications, and other hazardous items were observed to be inaccessible to children in care, and LPA advised the Licensee to ensure all hazardous materials remain inaccessible at all times.
The fire extinguisher was observed to be the appropriate size and the required 2A:10BC rating. The smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector were tested and found to be operational. There is a working telephone in the home. The home was observed to have adequate heating, lighting, ventilation, and age-appropriate toys and equipment. The last emergency disaster drill was conducted June 13, 2026.
LPA reviewed children’s records and observed that files were complete, including emergency contact information, immunization records, enrollment forms, and Parent Rights documentation. LPA reviewed licensee records. Licensee’s CPR certificate expired March 2026, and has a class scheduled for the following month. All individuals who require a criminal background clearance were observed to have clearances.
