25 | On 03/24/2025, at 09:30 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Julieta Abrego, conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the Licensees, Alina Ramirez and Felipe Perez. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensees. Four (4) children and three (3) staff were present in the facility during this inspection. This facility is a single story, six bedroom, four bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The following areas are used for child care: infant bedroom, toddler bedroom, school age bedroom which are located between the kitchen and backyard, bathroom located next to the back yard and the back yard. Off limits areas are: living room, kitchen and three bedrooms located to the right of the house, hallway bathroom located next to the living room and garage and are inaccessible through use of door locks and safety gates.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met the requirements. All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The licensee has toys, play equipment, and materials available. The licensee uses the backyard for outdoor activities. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. The licensees stated there are no firearms or weapons in the home. The LPA observed a fireplace in the living room and is barricaded and inaccessible to children in care. Licensees were reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 03/14/2027. The licensee has required immunizations. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training expired on 01/24/2025. The licensees will provide proof upon completion. The facility roster is maintained and reviewed. LPA reviewed children’s files. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 03/24/2025. |
