25 | On June 6, 2022 at 7:45 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jo Ann Legaspi conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the Licensee Sonia Santos. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by the Licensee. The Licensee, a helper and four (4) children were present in the facility during this inspection; there were three (3) children aged 4 – 5 years and one (1) infant. This facility is a three (3) bedroom, one and a half (1 ½) bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPA during this inspection. The following areas used for childcare are: family room, one bathroom and the fenced and shaded backyard and patio. The off limit areas are the bedrooms, remaining bathroom and kitchen. Child safety gates bar children’s access into the kitchen and remaining off limit rooms.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were observed inaccessible to children during this inspection. The Licensee has available toys, play equipment and materials. Children play in the fenced and shaded back patio and back yard. Licensee was reminded that continuous supervision is to be given to children whenever engaged in outdoor activities. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home.
Licensees’ First Aid and CPR certifications expire in April 2024 and December 2022. The helper’s First Aide and CPR certifications expire in April 2024. Licensees and staff have required immunizations. Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 05/04/2022 and 03/02/2022. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 04/13/2022.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or |
