25 | On 5/10/2023, at 10:50 am., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Vicky Williamson conducted an unannounced annual required Inspection and met with the Licensee, Leticia Ceron. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the licensee. There were 3 daycare children present ( ages 13 months, 22 months and 3 years old) in the facility during this inspection. Days and hours of operation are Monday - Sunday, 23 hours per day.
This single story, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom home was toured and inspected. The following areas are used for daycare: living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom 2 (hallway), playroom, backyard. Off-limits areas include: bedroom 1, bedroom 2, bedroom 3 (master), bathroom 1 (inside of master bedroom), garage. Off limit areas are made inaccessible by door locks and doorknob covers. Licensee was reminded that the back rooms must remain inaccessible to children in care at all times
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet requirements. Hazardous items were made inaccessible to children during the inspection. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. Licensee stated that there are no bodies of water on the premises. LPA observed no bodies of water on the premises during the inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. The last fire/disaster drill was conducted and documented on 1/18/2023.
A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
