25 | On 03/26/2026, at 2:00pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Oscar Picazo conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and met with licensees Alberta Smith and Patricia Major. Upon arrival, LPA was greeted, disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure that the home follows standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. There were 3 day care children present at the time of this inspection. Licensee accompanied LPA throughout the inspection of this single story, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home. The following areas are used for child care: Living room, dinning room, kids computer study, bathroom 1, front yard and patio. Off-limits areas are: the kitchen, bedroom 1 & 2 which includes bathroom 2 and the back and side yards. These areas are made inaccessible with safety gates and door knob covers. The front patio is used for outdoor activities, licensee stated total supervision is provided. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
There are no pools or bodies of water on the property and the home does not have a fireplace or wall heaters. The fire extinguisher is rated 2-A:10-B:C which meets statutory requirements and is mounted on the wall in the kitchen. The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested, are operational and met requirements. Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds and other hazardous items are locked and made inaccessible. Licensee utilizes of the on-site play-grounds for outdoor play and activity. Licensee stated she will provide direct supervision at all times when children are conducting any outside activities.
Licensee has an ample amount of children's toys, age appropriate play equipment, electronic games/tablets, books, and non-toxic child safe arts & crafts materials available. The Licensee has a working cell phone. Licensee stated there are no firearms, other weapons, or ammunition in the home.
