32 | and S1 stated they leave C1 in the car seat between 30 minutes to one (1) hour until C1 wakes up and then take C1 out. Both licensee and S1 admitted to this practice and stated they do not want to disturb C1’s sleep. Licensee and S1 denied that C1 is put in the car seat at other times throughout the day. LPA observed play yards available for infants to sleep in.
Based on licensee and S1’s admission, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED.
Per California Code of Regulations, (Title 22, division 12 & Chapter 3) one (1) Type A citation is being cited on the attached LIC 9099-D.
LPA Cindy Meier informed Licensee, Fidelia Mederos that this report dated 7/16/24 document(s) (1) Type A citation which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is immediate risk(s) to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care.
Also, LPA Cindy Meier informed the Licensee, Fidelia Mederos to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 7/16/24 that documents Type A citation(s) to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
