25 | On February 10, 2022, at 11:45 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Edgar Campana and Cindy Meier conducted an unannounced case management inspection with licensee, Esther Aguilar. LPA Campana informed licensee that the purpose of the inspection was for the requested change of capacity. Inspection was conducted in Spanish, per Licensee's request. Licensee led LPAs on a tour of the facility. There were six (6) children and one (1) staff at the facility during the time of the inspection.
On 10/20/2021, a fire clearance was approved for 14 children. Licensee will use the following areas for child care: living room, dinning room, kitchen, bedroom 1, daycare bathroom and front yard. The off limits areas are: bedroom 2, bedroom 3, and side patio which made inaccessible via door knob covers. There are no bodies of water observed during time of inspection. There are sufficient age appropriate toys, games, and books available. The home was clean and orderly during inspection. The fire extinguisher is rated 2-A;10; BC, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector are operational. There is a working telephone in the home and all required forms are posted. Licensee stated that there are NO firearms or ammunition on the property. All adults living or working in the home have been fingerprint cleared and associated. LPA reviewed children's files and emergency drill log. Last fire/disaster drill was conducted 01/26/2022. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification expire 05/2023. LPA discussed with Licensee maintaining supervision of day children at all times. LPA reviewed the following with licensee: SIDS, car seat law, reporting requirements, shaken baby syndrome, care and supervision, and COVID-19 precautions/guidelines. Licensee was also reminded the following items are prohibited during day care operating hours (walkers, exersaucers, jumpers and bouncy seats). Corporal punishment and smoking are not allowed in the day care. |
