LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by the Licensee. The licensee, two staff, four (4) preschoolers and two (2) infants were present in the facility during this inspection. This facility is a two story, four bedroom, 3 bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. Two additional children arrived during the course of the inspection bringing the census up to seven (8). The following areas area used for childcare: the family room, living room, dining room, one bedroom, one bathroom, and backyard. The off limit areas are the second floor, laundry room, and garage. The fireplace is screened and located in the living room.
The fire extinguisher and smoke/carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were observed inaccessible to children during this inspection. The licensee has available toys, play equipment and materials. Children play outside in the fenced backyard. Licensee was reminded that continuous supervision is to be given to children whenever engaged in outdoor activities. The fire extinguisher, type 3-A:40-B:C, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detectors met requirements. All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. There is a jacuzzi observed on the premises during the inspection, and it is covered and made inaccessible according to regulations. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 07/16/2022. Facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 06/19/2023. |
