25 | On 07/12/2024, at 12:50pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Daniela Huerta and conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Licensee, Sandra Delucchi. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was led on a tour of the facility indoors and outdoors. This facility is a two story, four-bedrooms, three-bathroom house. The following areas are used for childcare: kitchen, dining room #1 and #2, bedroom #1, bathroom#1, day care area and backyard. Off limits areas include: garage, laundry room and upstairs which consist of bedrooms #2-4 and bathrooms #2-3 which are made inaccessible through the use baby gates, locks, safety latches and doorknob covers. The fireplace located in the day care area is barricaded and inaccessible to children. LPA informed licensee when children less than five years old are in care, stairs shall be fenced or barricaded. Stairs are inaccessible to children through a baby gate.
Hours of operation hours are Monday – Friday 6:00am to 5:00pm. There were ten (10) children present during the inspection, and two (2) assistants.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were inaccessible to children in care. LPA informed licensee poisons shall be placed in a storage area and locked. LPA did not observe any poisons during the inspection. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. LPA informed licensee to ensure children are supervised at all times during outdoor activities. Licensee observed a covered hot tub located in the backyard. The hot tube contained a locked hard cover that can sustain the weight of an adult. Licensee stated there are no firearms, other weapons or ammunition in the home. |
