25 | On 8/2/22 at 11:00 Am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Annette Sutherland conducted an unannounced annual inspection with the Licensee’s helper Michel Quezado. Also, in the home was Jessica Quezado and Licnesee’s mother Maria Quezado. Licensee Alejandra Quezada arrived shortly after. Licensee was provided the Inspection Checklist (LIC 126). The 2 story home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Present in the home were 13 day care children. The facility is within ratio and capacity.
Licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Areas used for child care include Family room, Bedroom #1, Bathroom #1, and Backyard. Off limits areas include entire upstairs, Living room , Dining room, Kitchen, and Garage and are inaccessible through use of safety gates, door locks. The licensee has sufficient toys and equipment available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. LPA conducted child care quality management interview with the Licensee.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet requirements and are operational. Last fire drill was conducted on 5/6/22. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. There are no bodies of water on the property. Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 7/1/24 for Licensee Alejandra Quezada and both helpers Michelle and Jessica Quezada. Licensee and both helpers Michelle and Jessica Quezada have required immunizations. Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 7/3/22, Michelle Quezada complete it on 6/29/22 and Jessica Quezada completed it on 6/27/22 and are reminded it must be completed every 2 years. Children’s and Staff records were reviewed and found to be in order.
