25 | On May 23, 2023, at 11 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jo Ann Legaspi conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the Licensee Tannia Fajardo. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by the Licensee. The Licensee and her helper were present in the facility with twelve (12) children; ten (10) children ages 2 – 4 years, one (1) infant aged 23 months and one school aged child (age 5 years). This facility is a three (3) bedroom, one (1) bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPA during this inspection. The following areas used for childcare are: living room, two (2) bedrooms, bathroom, and the fenced and shaded backyard. The off limit areas are the kitchen and one bedroom. Safety gates bar access into the kitchen. Children walk through the kitchen to the backyard for outdoor play. Cabinet locks are on kitchen cabinets. A safety doorknob cover is on the door to the off limit bedroom.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were observed inaccessible to children during this inspection. The Licensee has available toys, play equipment and materials. Licensee states children play outside in the fenced and shaded backyard. Licensee was reminded that continuous supervision is to be given to children whenever engaged in outdoor activities. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home.
Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire in May 2025. Licensee has required immunizations. Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 09/22/2022. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 04/20/2023.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or |
