***THIS IS AN AMENDED REPORT DELIVERED ON 1/3/2025***

On 12/20/24 at 09:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stefanie Mutialu made an unannounced visit to conduct inspection for the purpose of verifying Plan Of Corrections (POC’s). LPA Mutialu met with Licensee, Francine Mikele. Present in the home was four (4) daycare children and Licensee’s minor son.

Seven (7) POCs were cleared for Type B citations cited on 11/25/24 relating to facility cleanliness, not performing emergency drills and completing emergency log, hazards in the garage area, missing children’s immunization documentation, missing children’s roster, heater was not screened, and sleep logs were not completed. LPA found facility clean and free of food droppings. LPA observed Emergency Drill log posted with Emergency drill completed on 12/03/2024. LPA found garage free of hazards and is occasionally being used for child care as additional playspace. Required documents for children’s immunization records were present at the facility and reviewed. Children’s roster was filled out, present at the facility, and found to be in compliance. LPA reviewed sleep log records at the facility and found them to be in compliance. Heater was screened.

LPA advised licensee per regulation heater must be screened at all times when caring for children. LPA recommended licensee not to use unused cribs for storage. Licensee stated moving forward diaper bags will be stored in the closet. LPA reminded licensee cribs are to be stable with wheels locked and demonstrated to licensee how to engage wheel locks for cribs.
