25 | On 7/21/22 @ 10:30 a.m. Licensing Program Analyst, Joelle Redding, made an unannounced visit to inspect the facility for a requested increase in capacity. Applicant applied for an increase in capacity on 10/21/21. Fire clearance was completed on 3/2/22. During today's inspection, LPA conducted a facility tour, reviewed children and staff records, facility roster and evacuation drill log. Covid -19 precautionary procedures were discussed. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Licensee is reminded that infants may not be swaddled while in care and walkers, exersaucers, jumpers, bouncy seats, napping portables and drop sided cribs are not permitted for use. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.Licensee is to be present in the home to ensure children are supervised and reminded that no children are to be left in parked vehicles and car seats are not to use used for sleeping. . Capacity limitations were reviewed. LPA discussed California Megan's Law and the website was provided as follows: www.meganslaw.ca.gov.Licensee is reminded that the license is NOT transferable and should she relocate, without proper notice, this license will be null and void.
Upon final file review, the request for increase to a large family home is granted. An updated license will be sent for posting. |
