25 | On 01/30/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) David Miller conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the licensee Janelle Gonya. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by the Licensee. The licensee and three daycare children aged 2-4, were present in the facility during this inspection.
This single level, 4 bedrooms, 2- bathroom home was inspected. The following areas are used for day care: living room, kitchen and bathroom 2. Off-limits areas include: bedroom 1 (master), bathroom 1 (inside of master), and bedroom 2, bedroom 3, bedroom 4, backyard and front yard (used for entrance only), and garage.
The fire extinguisher and smoke/carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were observed inaccessible to children during this inspection. The licensee has available toys, play equipment and materials. Children play outside in the fenced backyard. Licensee was reminded that continuous supervision is to be given to children whenever engaged in outdoor activities. LIcensee does have an above-ground pool. LPA verified that the pool meets regulation. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home and LPA did not observe any firearms at the time of this inspection.
Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire in May 2024. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee's mandated reporter training expired in 2020. The licensee stated that she believed she has completed the training since, but did not have verification via a certificate. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 01/01/2023 |
