25 | On 07/12/2022 at 11:15 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Dana Stevens conducted an unannounced Inspection for the purpose of capacity increase. LPA met with Licensee, Myesha Bankhead, disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility. There were 3 daycare children at the time of the inspection ages 11 months, 3 and 4 years. Licensee accompanied LPA throughout the inspection of this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. Licensee will use the following areas for child care: living room, kitchen, playroom and one bathroom. Off limits areas include: 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. The backyard is used for outdoor activities and Licensee stated total supervision is provided during outdoor play.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. Licensee's First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 05/2023. Facility roster was available and updated. A total of 7 children are currently enrolled. Children's file were reviewed and found complete. The last fire and disaster drill was completed on 06/2022.
There is one crib or play yard for each infant who is unable to climb out of the crib or play yard. Cribs or play yards are free from all loose articles and objects. The provider physically checks on sleeping infants every 15 minutes. An Individual Infant Sleeping Plan [LIC 9227 (3/20)] is maintained for each infant up to 12 months of age. The provider places infants up to 12 months of age on their backs for sleeping. |
