25 | On June 26th, 2023 at 8:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) David Miller conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the licensee Kristina Pintor. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by the Licensee. The licensee, staff (Jonathan Pintor), and 9 children, 7 are preschoolers and two are in elementary school were, present in the facility during this inspection. This facility is a single story, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPA during this inspection. Licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The following areas are used for child care: Living room, kitchen, dining area, hall bathroom and backyard. Off limits areas are all bedrooms, master bath and garage and are made inaccessible through use of safety latches. Business Hours: Monday-Friday; 6:30AM.-4:30PM.
The fire extinguisher and smoke/carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were observed inaccessible to children during this inspection. The licensee has available toys, play equipment and materials. Children play outside in the fenced backyard. Licensee was reminded that continuous supervision is to be given to children whenever engaged in outdoor activities. There is an above ground pool that is made inaccessible to children by fencing as required by regulation. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home, and LPA did not observe any firearms at the time of this inspection.
Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire in July 2023. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee completed the mandated reporter training on 06/23/2023. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 05/15/2023.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
