On 04/28/2025, at 4:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Shannan Williams conducted an unannounced complaint inspection for the purpose of delivering findings regarding the above allegation. LPA with met with Licensee, Sherrie Johnson. There were ten (10) children and two (2) staff present at the time of the inspection.
During the course of the investigation: interviews were conducted with both Licensees and seven (7) daycare parents, several sessions of surveillance were conducted for the purpose of observation based on interview, facility roster was obtained, and reports were reviewed.

It was alleged that child care home is operating over capacity. It was reported that transported children and children in the home simultaniously often go over the licensed capacity allowance. Licensee(s) denied that they ever have more children than their license allows at one time. Licensees stated that they do transport school-aged children to and from various schools, but in total there are never more than 14 children including those in the facility and those being transported.

Based on the information gathered during the investigation, there is not enough corroboration and evidence regarding the allegation. Due to conflicting information obtained from interviews, record review and observation and surveillance, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the above allegation is found to be unsubstantiated.

A Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) was given to Licensee, Sherrie Johnson and must remain posted for 30 days. Appeal Rights (LIC 9058) was provided. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Sherrie Johnson.
