25 | On 01/14/2025 at 9:05 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Michelle Hood conducted an unannounced Required -3 Year inspection and met with Licensee Aurea Delos Santos. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. There were nine children present with two staff, the cook and licensee during this inspection. The licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. Per the licensee the operating hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm.
The following areas are used for daycare: dining room, daycare room, backyard, and hallway bathroom. The off-limits areas are inaccessible using door locks, door knob covers and safety latches. The fire extinguisher is rated 3A:40BC, the smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met the requirements. All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The licensee has toys, play equipment, and materials available. The licensee uses the backyard for outdoor play. The licensee understands there must be direct supervision while outside. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 03/06/2026. The licensee has required immunization's. Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 06/20/2023 . The facility roster is maintained and reviewed. LPA reviewed children and staff files. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 01/13/2025.
