25 | On March 24, 2022 at 1:30pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) David Miller and Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the Licensee Hilda Flores de Corona. LPAs disclosed the purpose of the inspection and were granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. Twelve (12), the licensee, and staff, Gabriela Villasenor Aceves were present in the home. This facility is a one (1) story, three (3) bedroom, three (3) bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPAs inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The following areas used for childcare are: Living Room, Kitchen, daycare room, bedroom 1, bedroom 2, bedroom 3, bathroom 1, bathroom 2, bathroom 3, and the backyard. The off limits areas are the garage and is made inaccessible to children using child safety doorknob.
The fire extinguisher and smoke/carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were observed inaccessible to children during this inspection. The Licensee has available toys, play equipment and materials. The home has an available fenced and shaded backyard for outdoor activities. Licensee was reminded that continuous supervision is to be given to children whenever engaged in outdoor activities. All pools, spas, hot tubs, fishponds, or similar bodies of water are made inaccessible to children by covering or fencing as required by regulation during the time of this inspection. The licensee has a hot tub. No water was in the hot tub and the licensee verified that the cover on the hot tub can support the weight of an adult.
Licensee states there are no firearms and LPA did not observe any firearms at the time of this inspection. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire in June 2022. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 03/26/2021. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire drill was conducted and documented on 03/04/2022. The last disaster drill was conducted and documented on 03/04/2022.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 years and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
