13 | On August 25, 2022, at 11:15am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Cindy Meier conducted a complaint inspection to deliver the findings of the above allegations. LPA met with Licensee, Jazmine Thomas and advised Licensee of the purpose of the inspection and conducted a tour of the facility. There were eleven (11) daycare children and one (1) assistant present during this inspection. During the course of the investigation, interviews were conducted with the reporting party, licensee, staff, daycare children and daycare parents. The parent handbook, daily schedule, children’s weekly attendance sheet, and weekly menu were obtained and reviewed by LPA.
It was alleged that on 06/23/22, upon pick up, a daycare child appeared to have been crying, was very tired, hungry and had a soiled diaper. It was also alleged that the facility was operating out of ratio and/or overcapacity.
Facility staff denied the above allegations, stating the facility provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks and additional food upon request if children indicate they are hungry. Facility staff stated children’s diapers are continually checked and changed as needed. Facility staff explained that children’s naptime is from 1:15pm to 3:45pm daily.
