25 | On 08/30/21 at 9:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Castellon conducted an announced capacity increase inspection with licensee Jazmine Thomas. Purpose of the visit is to ensure that the home is in compliance with standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3 and so that a large license capacity 14 may be issued A fire clearance report dated 08/17/21 was received by the SDRO. This 4 bedroom, 3 bath home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Applicant is purchasing the home and has provided proof. Licensee Thomas will use the following areas for child care: living room, dining area, daycare room and hallway bathroom. Off limits areas include: second floor (staircase is properly barricaded via babygate) and the laundry room which is properly secured. Licensee will utilize the front, back and side yards for outdoor activities. There are no bodies of water observed during time of visit. Licensee states that there are no firearms in the home. The fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide detector and smoke detector meet requirements and are operational. There are six children present along with a cleared assistant.
Licensee Thomas is currently having some landscaping completed in the backyard and front yard. Yards are off limits until the construction is complete. A babygate or other type of fencing will be placed so that children in care do not have access to the backyard. Licensee Thomas will submit pictures as proof that yard has been secured on this date. Prior to a large license being issued, the backyard must be cleared of landscaping items (bricks, pieces of wood with screws, and other construction materials an items. LPA Castellon will return to the facility to ensure that the corrections have been properly made.
