25 | On 4/20/2022 at 9:45am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Martha Malane conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purpose of a capacity increase. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee, Emma Ah Sing and was granted entry into the facility. There were five (5) children, licensee’s helper, Krista Wilford, homeowner, Theodore Shank and licensee’s husband, David Ah Sing present during today’s inspection. This three (3) bedroom, two (2) bathroom home was toured and inspected. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8:00am to 1:00pm.
A fire clearance for up to 14 children was granted 4/11/2022.
Licensee utilizes the backyard for outdoor activities. Licensee stated there are no bodies of water and LPA did not observe any bodies of water.
LPA discussed the following with licensee: Max capacity when there is an assistant present: 12 children-no more than 4 infants (birth to 24 months). When caring for 14 children no more than 3 infants. 1 child in kindergarten and 1 child at least 6 years old. When there is no qualified assistant the capacity reverts back to the requirements from a small child care. You must notify the parents of the children in care when caring for more than 12 children.
No deficiencies cited.
An exit interview was conducted, with Licensee, Emma Ah Sing. LIC9213 Notice of Site Visit was provided. A license for a large family child care is granted effective today’s date, 4/20/2022. |
