32 | During outdoor activities, both staff members are generally present and supervising the children. When only three to four children are in care, one staff member may remain indoors with younger children or conduct other activities while the other staff member supervises the children outside.
The licensee also described the facility's diapering procedures. Children who wear diapers are checked regularly, at least every two hours, or sooner if a diaper change appears necessary. The licensee stated that parents are asked to provide diaper rash cream, which is applied as needed when a child develops a diaper rash. If a child has a bowel movement during nap time, staff immediately remove the child from the sleeping area and change the diaper. The licensee further stated that whenever a child develops a diaper rash, staff notify the parent and provide updates regarding the child's condition.
Lastly, the licensee stated that she consistently communicates with parents regarding any incidents involving their children, including falls, scratches, rashes, marks, bumps, bites, or other injuries. The licensee stated that she notifies parents on the same day of the incident. Parent were interviewed and did not have any concerns regarding the allegations.
Based on interviews conducted there were no disclosures that corroborated that there is a lack of supervision resulting in daycare child sustaining injuries, and the staff do not meet daycare child’s diapering needs resulting in a diaper rash.
Due to conflicting information obtained, LPA was unable to determine whether or not the allegations occurred. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
