25 | On September 29, 2022, at 09:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Edgar Campana conducted an unannounced case management inspection with licensee, Stacie Sotomayor. LPA Campana informed licensee that the purpose of the inspection was for the requested change of capacity. Licensee led LPA on a tour of the facility, which is a two story, four bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom home. There was one daycare child, two foster children and two assistants present at the time of inspection.
On 09/20/2022, a fire clearance was approved for 14 children. Licensee will use the following areas for child care: the kitchen, dining room, main day care area, ½ bathroom, and the backyard. Off-limits areas include garage and entire upstairs (4 bedrooms, 2 bath). The second floor of the home is made inaccessible to day care children through child safety gates that are installed at the bottom and top of the home staircase. The Licensee understands the gates must be in place when children under five years are present during day care hours. The garage is made off limits with a locking door handle. The home fireplace is appropriately screened and latched. The Licensee will utilize the backyard for outdoor activities. The yard is properly fenced. The Licensee has an off limits left side alleyway that contains trash cans and other items. It is made off limits with a safety gate that is installed at the alleyway entrance. There were no bodies of water observed during the time of visit. There are sufficient age appropriate toys, games, and books available. The home was clean and orderly during inspection. The fire extinguisher is rated 2-A;10; BC, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector are operational. There is a working telephone in the home and all required forms are posted. Licensee stated that there are NO firearms or ammunition on the property. All adults living or working in the home have been fingerprint cleared and associated. |
