On 1/11/2023 at 1:30 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Vicky Williamson conducted an unannounced inspection for the purpose of a room addition. LPA met with Licensee Heidi Martin and disclosed the purpose of the inspection. Also present was Assistant Yolanda Gomez Diaz and six (6) daycare children (ages 8 months to 10 years), two (2) of whom were infants. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 6:00 pm.

On 12/1/2022, Licensee submitted a request to utilize the master bedroom as an accessible area to daycare children.

The inside and outside of this single story 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home was toured and inspected. Licensee will use the following areas for childcare: living room, kitchen, dining area, master bedroom, bathroom #1, covered back patio in backyard, and fully fenced front yard. Off-limits areas include: master bathroom, bedroom #2, bedroom #3, bathroom #2, laundry room, pantry area, fenced dog run area on right side of backyard and backyard area outside of covered patio. Inaccessible areas are made inaccessible to daycare children through the use of door locks, safety latches, gates, and fencing.

A review of staff and children records verified that the facility is in compliance. First Aid and CPR certifications for Licensee Heidi Martin expire 9/2023 and Assistant Yolanda Gomez Diaz 8/2024. Fire extinguisher, smoke alarms and carbon monoxide meet requirements. The last safety drill was on conducted on 9/2/2022. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Per the Licensee, there are no weapons or ammunition present at the facility.

LPA observed two play yards for each infant. Play yards are free from all loose articles and objects. The provider physically checks on sleeping infants every 15 minutes. An Individual Infant Sleeping Plan is maintained for each infant up to 12 months of age.
