25 | On 02/18/2025 at 11:20 am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Michelle Hood and Raina Alexanian conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection & Change of Capacity and met with Licensee Natalia Guevara. LPAs disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. There were three children present in the facility during this inspection. The licensee accompanied LPAs inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The off-limits areas are inaccessible using door locks and door knob covers. Per the licensee the operating hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
On 02/05/2025, a fire clearance was approved for 14 children. The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met the requirements. All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The licensee has toys, play equipment, and materials available. The licensee uses the north side of the backyard for outdoor play. The licensee is creating a larger play area for the older children. The licensee understands there must be direct supervision while at the outside. The licensee will provide the LPA an updated LIC 999A and photos once the area is complete. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. There is a weapon on the premises. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 04/2025. The licensee has required immunizations. Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 04/2022. The facility roster is maintained and reviewed. LPAs reviewed children’s files. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 01/11/2025.
LPAs discussed the following: Reporting Covid positive, suspected child abuse & neglect, maintaining children’s records according to regulation, and post required forms.
