32 | The licensee denied all allegations, stating that she does not consume alcohol, smoke, use drugs, or possess weapons. The licensee’s husband reported that he has not consumed alcohol in over 20 years and confirmed that they do not smoke, purchase alcohol, or keep weapons in the home. They also stated that all cleaning supplies are stored securely in the garage. Children interviewed reported that they have not seen the licensee or any adults in the home consume alcohol or smoke. They noted that small toys can be harmful to babies but stated they had not seen any weapons in the home.
The licensee denied that the home is not kept clean, explaining that she and her husband follow a daily cleaning routine, including sanitizing tables, light switches, and steam mopping before and after day care hours. Children interviewed stated that they observe the licensee and her husband cleaning frequently. During the inspection, the LPA verified that all cleaning solutions were stored in an off-limits area on a high shelf, and off-limit areas were made inaccessible with child-proof gates and locks.
Based on the information gathered, there were no disclosures or corroborating statements indicating that the licensee consumed drugs or alcohol, kept hazardous items accessible to children, or failed to maintain a clean and orderly home. Therefore, the allegations are deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED. Although the allegations may have occurred or be valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur.
No deficiency cited.
