25 | On 05/20/2025, at 2:45 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Oscar Picazo conducted an unannounced Required 3 year random inspection and met with Licensee Leticia Gonzalez. Upon arrival, LPA was greeted and granted entry into the facility by Licensee. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted permission to tour the facility by the Licensee. The tour was led by the Licensee. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure the home is in compliance with the standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. There were 6 day care children present at the time of this inspection, one of which is an infant. Licensee accompanied LPA throughout the inspection of this single story, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. The following areas are used for child care: Rear Day Care room, bathroom 2, Day care patio (primary play area), infant room and back yard. Off-limits areas are: The front yard, driveway, west side yard, living room, dinning room, kitchen, bedroom 1, bedroom 2, bedroom 3 bedroom 4, bathroom 1, the garage and the west and east garage side yards. These areas are made inaccessible with safety gates, door knob covers, fencing and latching gates. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
There is a fireplace in the home that is located in the day care room. LPA observed the fireplace has doors and a safety screen in front of the fireplace and meets the requirements of regulation 102417(g)(1). The fire extinguisher is rated 3-A:40-B:C and is mounted on the wall in the day care room, smoke and carbon monoxide combo detector met requirements and is operational. Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds and other hazardous items are locked and made inaccessible. The home has a fully fenced back yard that is used for outdoor play and activity. Licensee stated she and her assistant provide direct supervision at all times when children are conducting any outside activities. Licensee has an ample amount of children's toys, outside play equipment, a small toddler play structure, toddler houses, books, and non-toxic child safe arts & crafts materials available.
