25 | On July 29, 2020 at 12:46 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Castellon conducted a capacity increase inspection. The inspection’s purpose is to ensure that the home follows standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. Present in the home was licensee Lopez Avila, facility assistant and two daycare children. This three bedroom, two bathroom home was toured and inspected. An Annual inspection was also conducted on this date.
On February 21, 2024, Licensee applied (LIC 279) requesting a capacity increase. The Fire Safety Inspection Request (STD 850) was approved by the local fire marshal on March 21, 2024 for fourteen (14) children. The off limits are the kitchen and master bedroom. The off limit bedroom is made inaccessible to day care children by use of a door safety knob. The kitchen is made inaccessible to children by use of a child safety gate. The following rooms will be used for care: bedrooms 1 and 2, hallway bathroom, the living room and the dining-room and fully fenced backyard.
Licensee accompanied LPA on a tour of the home, as shown on the updated facility sketch. Background criminal record clearances were verified and discussed. First Aid and CPR certifications are valid Facility has a working 2A10BC fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide, and the first aid kit in place. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Per the Licensee, no weapons or ammunition are housed in the facility.
The Licensee has more than one year (1) year of prior experience as a regulated small family childcare home operator. The Licensee states they are financially secure to operate a family childcare home for children. The assistant’s regulatory mandatory immunization documentation is kept at the facility. Landlord consent is on file.
