32 | The applicants have a wall heating unit that they attest will not be used during day care hours and, if it is ever turned on for use, will have to have a safety gate or other security device installed to make it inaccessible. The applicants have a washer that is in an alcove near the fourth home bedroom and understand that all detergents and/or other cleaning products must be kept in inaccessible areas at all times.

When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA and licensee discussed California Megan's Law and he provided licensee with the website address: www.meganslaw.ca.gov for her to review information regarding her facility on a regular basis. The following information was reviewed with the applicant: information on reporting requirements for suspected child abuse and unusual incidents, children’s records, immunizations, adults living or working in the home and related civil penalties, shaken baby syndrome, and SIDS. Applicant was reminded that corporal punishment, smoking, walkers, exersaucers, bouncy seats and jumpers are not allowed in day care.
The home appears to be in sufficient compliance and as no corrections are needed, a license for 14 will be issued effective today. Analyst printed a copy of the Notice Of Site Visit today and had applicants place it in their facility notice area before he left the home. |
