The purpose of this inspection is to inspect the backyard due to the completion of the reconstruction of the backyard initiated by licensee on 1/14/2025. Licensee contacted the Department and requested an inspection of the backyard to ensure the home is in compliance with standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. Also present is licensee’s spouse Denis Joseph and minor child. There were six daycare children present, two of whom were infants.
LPAs accompanied by Licensee, Myrline Joseph toured the indoor and outdoor of the home. LPAs observed that the backyard is fenced and covered with artificial turf. Children’s play equipment and toys are available. The backyard can be accessed by children through the sliding door leading from the upstairs daycare area. Licensee was reminded that there must always be direct supervision of the children while outdoors. Licensee stated that she understood.
