25 | On December 18th, 2023, at 7:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Jo Ann Legaspi conducted an unannounced capacity increase inspection. Licensee Emanuela Faustin was advised of the meeting’s purpose and granted LPA facility entry. Present in the home was the Licensee, her background cleared spouse, one (1) related child and four (4) daycare children. Language Link Operators 20702 and 4462 provided Haitian Creole language translation services.
On 11/07/2023, Licensee submitted an application (LIC 279) requesting a capacity increase. The Fire Safety Inspection Request (STD 850) was approved by the local fire marshal on 11/30/2023 for fourteen (14) children. Landlord Consent is not on file. The licensee submitted a written statement stating they will care for only a total of twelve (12) children.
This one (1) story, three (3) bedroom, one (1) bathroom house was toured and inspected. The following areas used for childcare are as follows: fenced backyard, the bathroom, the family room, and the room attached to the family room. The off-limit areas include the living room, kitchen, garage, and remaining bedrooms. The garage has a locked door. Access to the bedrooms is through a door through the living room and kitchen. A child safety gate barricade this bedroom hallway and kitchen. Access into the living room is barricaded with a door and a hallway with a safety gate.
Licensee accompanied LPA on a tour of the home, as shown on the updated facility sketch. Background criminal record clearances were verified and discussed. First Aid and CPR certifications expire in August 2024. The facility has a working fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector. The last safety drill was on 11/03/2023. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Per the Licensee, no weapons or ammunition are housed in the facility. The daycare schedule is everyday 6 AM – 5 PM. |
