25 | On 02/09/2024 at 10:00 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Hood conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection with applicant Esther Aran The purpose of the inspection is to ensure that the home complies with standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. This 3-bedroom, 2-bath home was toured and inspected to ensure the environment is safe for the care and supervision of children. Per the applicant operating hours will be no more then twenty-three hours per day, Monday through Friday.
The applicant provided proof of control of the property for review by the Department. The applicant has obtained a signed Property Owner/Landlord Consent form (LIC 9149). The applicant will use the following areas for childcare: living room, hallway bathroom, kitchen and main backyard. Off-limits areas include the bedrooms 1 through 3, bathroom #2, the north & south side of the backyard, front yard and garage. They are made inaccessible to daycare children through the use of doorknob covers, safety gates and door latches. The living room fireplace is barricaded. The applicant will utilize the main backyard for outdoor activities. The applicant understands there must always be direct supervision while outside with children. There are no bodies of water observed during the time of the inspection. The applicant stated there are no weapons or firearms. The fire extinguisher is rated 2A 10B: C, and smoke, and carbon monoxide detectors meet requirements and are operational. All poisons, cleaners, and hazardous items in the home are inaccessible to children through latches, locks, and/or placed on high surfaces.
Children’s toys and play equipment are available. The applicant has completed the 8 hours of preventative health. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications expire on 10/2025. The applicant completed the Mandated Reporter AB1207 training certification on 10/05/2023. Immunization records per SB792 were reviewed and are in compliance with the applicant.
