25 | On 02/26/2025 at 9:25 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Hood and Investigator, Ernestina Bellucci conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection to ensure the facility is in substantial compliance with standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. LPA Hood and Investigator Bellucci were granted entry into the facility by the licensee, April Ramos. The licensee accompanied LPA Hood and Investigator Bellucci on a tour of the inside and outside of the facility during this inspection. Per licensee, the operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
During the tour of the facility, there were 0 children present. The licensee reported that she cares for children aged three to four years old. As mentioned during the Pre-licensing inspection on 04/16/2024, the licensee is not currently caring for infants. A facility roster is maintained, and a copy was obtained during today's inspection. Facility postings were also observed to be in compliance. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 01/13/2025. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications are set to expire on 03/2026.
LPA discussed the following: Reporting Covid positive, suspected child abuse & neglect, maintaining children’s records according to regulation, and posting requirements. The licensee was reminded corporal punishment, smoking, exersaucers, bouncy seats, walkers, jumpers, and/or similar equipment are not allowed in daycare.
An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the licensee, April Ramos. The licensee was provided with a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058 03/22) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. |
