25 | On 08/22/2024, at 2:00 pm, LPA Daniela Huerta conducted an announced follow up prelicesning visit with applicant Melissa Orona Aguirre to review required changes prior to licensure. During today’s visit, LPA found the following corrections:
-Applicant's spouse received a criminal background clearance
-Playground structure was moved away from the fence.
LPA review the ratio/capacity worksheet with applicant. LPA discussed the maximum capacity for a small family child care home: four infants only (infants mean any children under 24 months); or six children with no more than three infants; or, with landlord consent, eight children with no more than two infants, one child in kindergarten or elementary school and one child at least age six, including children under age 10 who live in the home. Property Owner/Landlord Consent form LIC 9149 is not on file. Without this consent, the applicant understands that, once licensed, they can operate with a maximum capacity of 6 children.
Applicant will utilize the following areas for childcare: living room, kitchen, master bedroom, bedroom #2, bathroom #1 and backyard. Off limit areas include bedroom #1, bathroom #2, garage and front yard. Off limits areas are inaccessible to children by use of door knob covers, safety latches and safety gates. Applicant will utilize the backyard for outdoor activities. LPA informed applicant to ensure that children are always supervised during outdoor activities.
A Regular Small Family Child Care Home license may be issued upon final file review. LPA Huerta explained inspection report to applicant, applicant stated he understood. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the applicant, Melissa Orona Aguirre.
