25 | On 09/04/2024 at 9:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Saul Zazueta conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection with applicant, Daniela Rodriguez. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure the home is in compliance with standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. This two-story, three (3) bedroom, three (3) bathroom house was toured and inspected. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00AM-6:00PM.
Applicant will utilize the following areas for childcare: living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom #1, and backyard. Off limits areas include entire second floor, which consists of three (3) bedrooms, two (2) bathrooms, and office. Off limits areas are inaccessible to children by use of safety gates and safety latches. Applicant will utilize backyard for outdoor activities. LPA informed applicant to ensure that children are always supervised during outdoor activities.
The fire extinguisher is rated 2A:10B:C and is located in the closet next to bathroom #1. Fire extinguisher was empty during the time of inspection, which does not meet requirements. The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors meet requirements and are operational. Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and other hazardous items were made inaccessible to children by totes and locks. The fireplace located in the living room is securely covered with chalkboard. Applicant stated there is no pool or bodies of water on the premises. LPA observed a gated pool in the community during inspection. Applicant has children's toys, play equipment and books available. The applicant has a working cell phone. Applicant stated there are no firearms or other weapons in the home.
Applicant resides in a house, which has a swimming pool located at the entrance of community. LPA observed an in ground swimming pool, with a five feet high fence enclosing the body of water, the fence does not obscure the pool from view. The gates swing away from the pool, is self-closing and has a self-latching device. Applicant stated that a key card is used to open the gate. The applicant stated that no children will use this pool. |
