25 | On September 20, 2024, at 11:45 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Oscar Picazo conducted an announced final pre licensing inspection and met with applicant, Wasan Oro, to inspect the backyard area that was previously designated as off limits during the initial pre licensing inspection on 8/16/2024. LPA will inspect that the area is safe, within regulation guidelines and ready for use as the applicant would like to use the back yard as an outdoor play and activity area and requested to add it as a day care area. Applicant has also received her 2nd background clearance and exemption that she reapplied for and had been pending since 08/23/24. LPA will also review the exemption details with the applicant.
LPA observed and inspected the fenced outdoor play area in the backyard to be safe and ready to use for day care. The applicant added a 5 foot bared fence to the existing rear brick wall that extends the entire length of the back yard and connects to the pool fence to ensure inaccessibility to the pool area. The remainder of the backyard beyond the fenced area will remain off-limits during day care hours. During this inspection the LPA observed a fully fenced barn area that encompasses goats, chickens and a dog that went unnoticed during the initial inspection. This barn area was inspected and is located on the Northwest side of the property. The barn area is separate from the home, on a lower level and is made inaccessible by a 5 foot chain linked fence and locked gate. Applicant updated facility sketch (LIC 999A) to reflect the changes.
An exit interview was conducted, and this report as well as the conditional criminal record exemption granted on 08/30/2024 was reviewed and discussed with the applicant, Wasan Oro. The applicant stated she understood. A small Family Childcare Home license may be issued upon final file review. A copy of the report and a copy of the conditional exemption letter was provided to the applicant. |
