25 | On 11/22/24 at 2:00 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced, Licensee initiated, case management inspection to add the living room, hallway leading to room #3, and deck temporarly and met with Licensee, Veronica Nonorgues. Licensee stated there will be underground work being done for room #4 but no structural changes, and will be made inaccessible to children. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry by the Licensee. The Licensee, 2 helpers, and eleven (11) daycare children were present at the facility during this inspection.
On 10/23/24, Licensee submitted documentation requesting to add the above mentioned areas for daycare use. Licensee will have room #3 locked and full supervision of children in order for children not to have this area accessible for them. LPA toured the newly added areas and did not observe any hazardous items and it is safe to use for daycare children as of todays visit. There is a fireplace in the living room that is boarded up with wood and is inaccessible to children.
Licensee stated she will advise the department when the work is completed and the department will advise on the process to use room #4.
A copy of the report and appeal rights (LIC 9058) and notice of site visit (LIC9213) was provided to Licensee and must remain posted for 30 days and advised must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Veronica Nonorgues. |
