On 10/25/23 at 4:15pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Martha Malane conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purpose of a capacity increase and a room addition. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Brittany Naidu and was led on tour of the facility. Licensee is requesting an increase in capacity to 56 school age children and add Bungalow 3 (B-3) to the license. There were 27 school age children and four (4) staff members present in Bungalow 6 (B-6). Days and hours of operation are M-F 7:00am–9:00am, M/T/W/F 3:30pm–6:00pm and Thursday 12:45pm – 6:00pm.

Facility is exempt from square footage, number of toilets, isolation space, outdoor activity space and fencing requirements, per H&S 1596.806. Boy’s and girl’s restrooms are available behind B-6. Restrooms provide privacy for school age children. LPA observed restrooms to be clean; toilets and sinks were in working order. B-3 was inspected and found to have tables, chairs and age appropriate materials available for children. No hazardous materials were observed.

A current fire clearance was submitted to the SDRO on 10/25/23. The licensee’s request to increase the capacity to 56 school age children and to operate in B-3 and B-6 is granted effective today’s date, 10/25/23.

No deficiencies cited.

Exit interview was conducted with Director, Naidu. Notice of Site visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's date. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
