On 6/10/26 at 10:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mahjoba Mohsini conducted an unannounced complaint visit regarding a complaint received on 3/27/26 for the purpose of delivering findings on the above referenced allegation. LPA met with facility director Amitha Perusinghe and toured the facility. Observed today were 31 children with 4 staff as follows:

Room 3: 14 children with 2 staff: Maria Morales, and Fernanda Morales
Room 4: 17 children with 2 staff: Priyadharshani Wickramaratne and Lorena Martinez

It was alleged that staff did not ensure that drinking water was readily available for a child in care. During the investigation, LPA toured the facility, interviewed staff and children, made observations, and reviewed facility records. Staff stated that drinking water is provided in an assigned cup when children forget to bring their own water bottles. Staff also stated the kitchen helper brings a pitcher of water during lunch for children. Children interviewed confirmed that they receive an assigned cup for drinking water when needed and also stated they could not recall instances of forgetting to bring their water bottles.

The facility maintains accessible drinking water through a filtered system located in the kitchen, which meets regulatory requirements. Staff denied failing to provide drinking water to child (C1). There is not a preponderance of evidence to substantiate the alleged violation. Therefore, the allegation is determined to be Unsubstantiated.

An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the licensee, Amitha Perusinghe. A Notice of Site Visit was issued and must remain posted for 30 days.
