25 | On 11/24/2021 at 9:30am, an unannounced case management site inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samantha Clenista. Facility has requested a decrease of capacity from having 72 preschoolers to 60 preschoolers. Fire clearance was granted on 10/12/2021. Upon arrival, LPA met with Holly Weber, Center Director. A tour of the facility was conducted and LPA observed a total of 16 children with a total of 3 staff members. Appropriate ratio and capacity was observed. LPA measured all preschool classrooms (preschool room 1, room 2 and room 3). Preschool Room #1 measured at 429 sq. ft., Room #2 measured at 855 sq. ft. and Room #3 measured 855 sq. ft. The total room measurements measured at approximately 2,139 sq. ft. which will accommodate the requested capacity of 60 children. The facility has a total of 7 toilets and 7 sinks available for the preschool program. The outdoor playground area was remeasured due to the facility adding an infant playground. Preschool playground was measured at approximately 3,842.74 sq. ft. which will accommodate no more than 51 children at one time. Facility is requesting to be licensed for 60 children. Due to limited square footage outdoors, a playground waiver to share the preschool playground on a scheduled basis shall be requested and approved prior to licensure. LPA obtained waiver request during inspection. Preschool playground area has a solid concrete fence surrounding the perimeter of the entire playground. The fencing that surrounds some of the preschool playground is shy of 4 ft. (by 5 inches). Facility has been licensed with this current fencing. LPA advised to extend the fencing to meet the 4 ft. regulation. Ms. Weber stated she will extend the fencing immediately and will send LPA pictures showing that the fencing meets regulation.
No deficiencies observed in the areas inspected during today's visit. NOTICE OF SITE VISIT IS TO BE POSTED FOR 30 DAYS. LPA observed Ms. Weber post notice of site visit. |
