On 6/21/23 at 10:50am , Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Adrian Castellon, met with Director Rexanna Blas for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. There were 53 children present with 9 qualified staff members in two buildings utilizing classrooms A thru H and rooms 118, 121, and 122. Rooms 121 and 122 are not in use at this time. The facility is within ratio and capacity. Program operates Monday thru Friday 7:00am to 5:30pm. Children were participating in various activities and properly supervised.

LPA toured the facility. The rooms were clean, orderly and at a comfortable temperature during this visit. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. The furniture, books, games, and toys are safe, age-appropriate, and in good repair. There is a variety of activities available throughout the day. All required forms were posted. All storage containers and trash cans have tight-fitting lids and are in good repair. The kitchen is clean and sanitary. Students bring their own lunch and snacks to the facility. Drinking water is readily available via water fountains. Children nap at this site. Cots are used and sheets and blankets are kept in a manner that ensure separation. Children are evaluated upon entry and monitored throughout the day for signs of illness. The isolation area for ill children awaiting pick up is in the director's office. Unusual incident reporting requirements were discussed. Roster was reviewed on this date.

LPA reviewed sign-in/out sheets, a sample of personnel records, and a sample of children's records. There is at least one staff present with current CPR and First Aid certification. The facility is reminded the Mandated Reporter Training is to be retaken every two years and can be accessed at the following website: www.mandatedreporterca.com.
