25 | On 11/15/22 at 9:22am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Martha Malane conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purpose of a temporary room and restroom usage due to construction in the preschool rooms. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Marina West. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was led on a tour of the facility. There were 20 children and four (4) staff members present.
Licensee is requesting to utilize the fellowship hall and adjoining restrooms for the time frame of 12/5/22 – 12/23/22. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 5:00pm.
The fellowship hall was inspected and measured a total of 2411.90 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 30 children. A restroom is available for exclusive use by preschool children at the entrance of the fellowship hall. Director will place signs on the restroom door to indicate use by preschool children only, Monday – Friday 7:30am – 5:00pm. There were two (2) toilets and two (2) sinks available which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. A staff restroom in the fellowship will be utilized as an isolation restroom if a child becomes ill. LPA observed restrooms to be clean; toilets and sinks were in working order. Facility will utilize the current outdoor activity space. Director stated there are no bodies of water or swimming pools on the premises.
A temporary fire clearance to operate in the fellowship was granted 11/10/22.
The following corrections are required:
- Signage on the restroom door
- Equipment and materials for children’s use set up in the fellowship hall
- Fireplace made inaccessible to children
Once proof of correction is submitted to CCL, the licensee’s request to temporarily operate in the fellowship hall and adjoining restrooms from 12/5/22 – 12/23/22 will be granted.
No deficiencies cited. Exit interview conducted with Director, Marina West. Notice of Site visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's date. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. |
