25 | On September 15, 2020 at 4:00 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joelle Redding, conducted a virtual inspection with the facility representative Cynthia Bautista. The purpose of this inspection is to provide technical assistance and ensure the facility is safe for the care and supervision of children prior to granting a temporary waiver for the facility to care for school age children in their preschool program due to COVID-19.
The fire clearance was granted up to 28 school age children in Rooms G and H on 8/18/2020. The facility will operate Monday thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and serves children ages 18 months thru 5 years with a request to serve school age children, up to age 12, in preschool Rooms G and H on a temporary basis.
Check-in will take place at the front door. If a child becomes ill during the day, he/she will rest in the isolation area which is currently one of the empty classrooms. Children’s authorized representative will be contacted immediately for pick up. Department of Public Health will be contacted in regards any COVID-19 illness. Children will stay with the same group as assigned and will not be moved from one group to the other. Age appropriate furniture including tables and chairs and are present in each of the rooms to meet the needs of children in care and promote social distancing during distance learning and other activities. The school age children will use the playground on a staggered basis from the preschool and there are age appropriate activities and equipment. Separate restrooms are available, w/curtains to close each stall for privacy. |
