25 | On 9/24/24 at 11 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Gerald Poindexter met with Gloria Hughes, director, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. There were 32 children present with 6 staff, in 4 rooms – #4, 6, 10 and 12. Facility is within ratio and capacity.

Preschool Room 12 – 9 children and Amanda Diaz, in-house substitute teacher, and Alicia Judson, aide
LPA toured the facility. The rooms were clean, orderly and a comfortable temperature during this visit. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. The furniture, books, games, and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. There are a variety of activities available throughout the day. All required forms were posted. All storage containers and trash containing solid waste have tight fitting lids and are in good repair. Floors appear to be clean and safe. Drinking water is readily accessible. Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary, and operating condition. Paper towels and toilet paper are available. Bathroom is lighted and has ventilation. Any wastewater used to clean is being discarded after use. Medications are kept locked, at the front desk, inaccessible to children, and properly labeled with child name, parent permission, as well as with instructions and expiration dates.
Snack menus are posted. Adequate food is available. Cleaning supplies are kept separate from food and are inaccessible to children. Storage areas for poisons are locked. Director stated there are no firearms or other weapons on the premises. All foods/beverages capable of rapid spoiling are stored in covered containers. The facility appears to be free of insects and rodents. Napping equipment is sufficient for each child, bedding is stored separately, and mats/cots are disinfected after use. Facility has ensured that there is adequate space between mats/cots for easy passage and they are not blocking entrances or exits. CONTINUED ON PAGE 2
