25 | On October 17, 2024, at 8:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jo Ann Legaspi conducted a Case Management Legal/Non-compliance inspection regarding a Non-Compliance Plan, dated 05/31/2024. LPA met with Director Cristina Jimenez and disclosed the purpose of the inspection.
Director states that the facility participates in a voluntary collaborative pilot program with the YMCA Child & Youth Development - Child & Youth Program Support program which provides two (2) clinical consultants to support facility staff in the classrooms. Participation is to encourage the support of the facility program's policies and procedures development. The consultants also provide classroom level supports such as developmentally appropriate practices, relationship building, understanding child temperament, etc ... LPA reviewed the weekly pool/door alarm log and facility NCC support log. LPA also conducted a brief facility tour. Child safety gates are now on the door thresholds of the preschool classrooms which open onto the facility main hallway.
On this date, 10/11/2024, the California Attorney General - Megan’s Law website was searched for information on sex offenders required to register with local law enforcement under California's Megan's Law. No registered sex offenders were found at the facility address. Under state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure; therefore, they may not have been included in this search. However, the Department conducts a monthly cross reference of each address on record for all registered sex offenders against all CCLD facility addresses pursuant to information shared by California Department of Justice (DOJ).
No deficiencies cited. A notice of site visit was given to the facility representative and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Cristina Jimenez.
