Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) D. Sanchez made an unannounced Case Management inspection in response to additional classrooms request. LPA was greeted and allowed entry into the facility by director Maureen Cardosa who was advised of the purpose of today’s inspection.
School is currently closed for summer vacation. There were no children present during inspection. LPA accompanied by Ms. Cardosa conducted a general overall inspection of rooms R, W, X and play areas in front of room W and behind room X.

All three classrooms have accessible kitchen that needs to be barricaded. Room W and X have a wall heater that needs to be barricaded. The backyard play area located next to room X, has several gas/water meters that needs to be barricaded. Room R has not been furnished for preschool children and needs storage shelves to be removed. There is a door that leads to room R that needs to be properly barricaded.

The facility's room addition request will remain pending until all corrections are completed. Facility shall not place preschool children in these three classrooms until approval from the San Diego Child Care Regional Office.

No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. An exit interview was conducted with Maureen Cardosa.

LPA observed director placing the Notice of Cite Visit on the wall visible to parents during today’s inspection.
