On April 2, 2024 at 10:08 am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Ana Noble and Diana Brasel conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an Increase in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Facility Representative Anna Garcia, New Director. Garcia stated the her new director packet had been mailed to the office. Garcia provided proof of this information to LPA Noble during this visit director Packet had been certified mailed. Applicant is requesting to be licensed for 50 preschoolers 2-5 in classrooms Room 1 &2 (Room one is divided by a removable partition wall into 2 room named Jungle and Train and Room two is named Space Room). Hours of operation will be Monday-Friday 7 am to 5:30 pm. Present during today’s inspection were 26 children with 4 staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Director that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.

LPA continued to tour the facility and measured new additional indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 2071.99 square footage, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 50 Children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via filter water and children's own water dispensers.

Facility Representative Anna Garcia understands that all proof of corrections must be provided to the Department within 30 days, or the application may be denied.

A notice of site visit was given to facility representative and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Anna Garcia facility representative.

LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 3/14/2024.

LPA observed a total of (6) sinks and (5) toilets available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 50 children.



The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing is made out of wrought iron and is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 3759.05 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 50. Shade is provided via permanent shade canopy structure. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is a small climbing structure with two steps and landing on the playground from manufacturer by Kidtime by gametime which is properly anchored. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones of climber provided by artificial turf/grass. Drinking water is available via filtered water and children's own water dispenser/cups. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Director, Anna Garcia was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing.

For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP).



The following corrections are needed prior to the issuance of the license:
1. In Room #1 Cubbies need to be mounted to a wall and remove all miscellaneous items from all counters to prevent children from being tempted to climb to reach for toys or other items currently sitting on counter tops and on top of cubbies. There is rust on the edge of the children's restroom (sand and painted)
2. In Room #2 Remove all storage items from the shower area and make electrical changing table inaccessible.
3. In the playground, sand and paint rust on the Mini Merry go cycle.
