13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tricia Danielson arrived unannounced to the facility to conclude an investigation into the allegation listed above. LPA met with LIcensee/Director Lydia Andrea Caballero and explained the purpose of the visit. At the time of today's visit, the facility had a total of 11 preschool children enrolled and 8 were present.
During today's visit, LPA interviewed 3 additional children. In total, 7 children and 4 staff were interviewed during the investigation. The allegation "staff hits daycare children" alleged that facility staff place children in time out and hit them. Information obtained from interviews with 7 seven children and 4 staff did not corroborate nor support the allegation. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is no preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted, and this report was reviewed with and provided to Licensee/Director Caballero. Appeal Rights were also discussed and provided. An LIC 9213- Notice of Site Visit was also issued and must remain posted near the main entrance for 30 days. Non-compliance with posting will result in a $100 fine. This report must be accessible to the public for three years. |
